The only reason I gave yale one star is I couldn't give a zero. This place is useless. I have been trying to get diabetic shoes for close to two months. I should have been told on my first call you need A, B And C. Instead I get we need a prescription. Which they got, then we need letter of medical neccesity which was sent, then the first doctor is told it has to be approved by my primary, which is was, all were sent in. The podiatrist said they got an additional form which was sent. A week later when I called my insurance company they had not received any paper work. Yale says we don't have the letter of medical neccesity. But they claim they have approval from the insurance company which they would not have gotten without the letter of medical neccesity. This is ridiculous.

This place is by far the WORST business ever!!! I dropped my prescription for orthopedic shoes in July, nobody ever bothered to call me back and when I finally thought too much time had passed without any communication from them, I called them in September to find out the status of my order they told me they forgot to request approval from my insurance!!

$212.00 for a pair of surgical sandles ??? RIDICULOUS!!!! Guess calling them boots makes it legal! Make sure you check your bills! Everyone else have a price around $21.00.

Yes, we have double depth shoes. Please give us a call to set up an appointment. 203-777-2396 thank you
The main reason for the delay in getting the clients their braces (whether back or knees) is the insurance company requires a letter of medical necessity which can take up to 1 week to get it back from the providers. Then the insurance authorization person has to resubmit the request to the insurance company. It takes 7 to 14 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for the insurance companies to give us a discussion.
I believe Yale Surgical only deals with shoes and prescription Orthotics.
