The reason I gave this a 5 star was for the CAVE Itself. I actually walked in this FAMOUS CAVE. When I was somewhere between 9 - 12 years ago, and now I'm 64 years old. I remember when you walk in it would curve to the right and down. And I remember seeing Indian writing on the walls. I hope you all saved some of the CAVE !!!

This was a beautiful place to stop and stretch my legs. The Nickajack Reservoir is absolutely stunning. The only disappointment was the lack of vending. I had original stopped for a drink but opted to release my previous one instead. The handsoap smelled lovely.

The cave is located at "Nickajack Cave Wildlife Refuge". That Historic Marker map location is misleading. We've tried to delete it, as it isn't there at the rest area anymore.
