I absolutely love this vet. My family came here for many years and now that we are back in the area we love coming here again. They have a ton of vets on staff which makes it easy to get appointments when you need them - no booking months out!!! They also are friendly, reasonable, down to earth - I have experienced some vets that kind of ignore your concerns and some that are over alarmist and you feel are bringing you in for appointments that aren’t needed, this vet is neither of these. They just treat your pup well and send you on your way!!! Love!

I have brought my dogs to NMAH since 1993. Over the years, I have seen the practice grow and change. One of the changes I have seen is a lack of true compassion for the patients and their owners even when they have cared for the animal(s) over an extended period of time. I have seen this especially with the newer and often younger vets. For example, gone are the days of receiving a sympathy card or note after the animal under their care passes.

We had a very positive experience in our check-up with our senior Doodle (15+) after just moving to the area. Dr. Doll and his assistant Alexa were gentle, kind, compassionate, thorough, well-informed and informative. The staff are friendly, caring and well-trained. The NMAH facility is clean, well-lit and organized. Comfortable environment for both pets and owners. Follow-up visits: Drs. Schaaf, Rolley and Renehan have been wonderful! Jack, our senior dog, is receiving great health care from NMAH. We have also used their boarding service when we have to travel. Jack is treated with TLC and we are confident he is in good hands there. We also appreciate that NMAH does not perform an immediate “cashectomy” (procedure to remove all the cash from the customer’s wallet), but offers us treatment options and quality services. Highly recommended.

They saved our Boxer mix, Roc. He had an allergic reaction to something he ate and it caused a severe inflammation in his gut and it was scary. They had me bring him despite being booked up, and I was able to leave him, received calls and updates through the day, and the best part, he was so much better by the end of the day! When I picked him up, he didn’t seem to be traumatized or stressed at all so I know he received compassionate care. So pleased!

If absolutely necessary, we can but prefer to wait till they are 6 months or older. What age is your kitten and have you explored alternatives to declawing yet ?
