THE PEOPLE WHO WORK AT SOUCIAL SECURITY OFFICE THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND THE OPERATORS THEY DONT EVEN CARE TO .SO I HAVE TO WEIGHT FOR AN HOURS FOR SOME ONE PICK UP THE PHONE TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS , ITS VERRY RUDE TO HAVE YOUR CUSTOMER ON HOLD FOR HOUSRS ,THEY NEED TO KNOW WERE THERE MONEY IS !!!!
If you have an id then bring that if not then bring your birth certificate and a piece of mail(not junk mail like a flyer. more like a bill if you have one. Or anything from a college)

They don't make appointments, you may be able to do it online ssa.gov, probably is a wait time.

I believe you have to go through your Human Resources Dept. First, and then contact Social Security, if your job has sent the information to them.

Yes, you need to call to make an appointment . You can call the 1800 number on SSA site. They will take down your number and location and The local office will call you to schedule the appointment
