Public Playgrounds & Parks: The Valdese Recreation Department is preparing for the reopening of public playgrounds on Friday, September 4th by 5pm. The Valdese Family Splash Park will be operational Monday through Saturday 8am-8pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm, beginning Saturday, 9/5/20.

They only make everyone get out if they hear thunder. Then they wait 30 minutes and if it goes away you can get back in. Sometimes towards the end of the day if it's storming they will just call it early, but just rain would not affect anything.

Call the rec center. My stepdaughter has boys that have been there for soccer. They swim there also so there are many activities that you can get involved in. There is a jym/exercise area in the lower level at the pool check in.
