Such an amazing learning space with caring staff! The educational scavenger hunt is a must! It's small but really packs so much in. We will definitely be visiting again and again!

My boyfriend and I are 22 years old, and we found this place on Google prior to coming to Asheville. We love science museums, especially museums with geology exhibits. The museum, upon us entering, definitely made us think that we were probably too old to be there. But, the museum staff were welcoming, and they even told us we could check out the place before paying admission. We quite frankly were okay with paying the admission to support the museum. They have scavenger hunts that are honestly pretty challenging. I definitely think that this is a great place for kids. There are a lot of interactive exhibits, and I honestly was very entertained by some of them myself. We spent about an hour in the museum, which, for $10 each, is pretty nice. I bought a bunch of stickers at their gift shop, and spent about $10 in the gift shop. The AMOS stickers they sell are very high quality and look great on my car. I really enjoyed my time here!

I planned this trip for 2 weeks. Went around 3pm ..the kids loved it!! Me and the fiancé were happy they were content..especially for $30 entree and everything. I paid in advance online. ...all good. .until the woman ripped me off. In the shopping section of the store I paid $17.99 for a bear, for my son. $3.99 for the magnet for my car. $2.99 for him a stone. $5.99 for a stone egg and $2.99 for a bracelet for my daughter, $2.99 for a soft globe ball for baby girl and got 2 waters ($3.25 each) .. .(as you can tell the kids went wild grabbing things but I felt confident until she scanned everything and somehow my total was $56? It wasn't much ...but it wasn't calculated correctly after taxes. She didn't give me a receipt so we left. .I was unhappy that I was taken advantage of. Like, I get it, the kids had a good time and they're loud, but as a parent that ruined the experience for me.

Very small, but neat things to do. Would be much better if they had the space to expand it.

Hi, Margaret! Thanks for your question. This is really dependent on staffing and does not take place on a regular basis. You can check the Events Calendar on our website to find out about workshops and events when the 3D printer is in operation.

What's the best place to park to visit the museum?

Do not use Rankin Garage. Our car got broke into while patked there visiting AMOS. They use a virtual help thing. And not an actual person watching the place. And of course it is park at your own risk. Better off finding any other place with plenty of people around.

Until they expand (which is in the works) it really is a museum designed for children's eyes and minds.
