I don't quite understand how this parking deck works. I work at Spectrum Center and parking is supposed to be free on event days. The attendant is there collecting money which I've never at any other parking deck in Charlotte. It's like they only care about what happens on game days or when a concert is going on.

People don't understand that the C in spots means Compact so they park their giant SUVs and pick-ups there leaving us compact vehicles to struggle getting in their car or not being able to park. They don't enforce it despite the numerous signs everywhere. 2 of the 4 elevators have been broken since forever too. There are stairwells that you can only exit the garage from, and they're disgusting. Smells like urine, beer bottles and trash everywhere; they're never cleaned. You'd think it would be cleaner being a part of a hotel and all. The location however is perfect, right across from Spectrum Center and near most points of interest. I love the spiral ramp for quick ability to enter/exit and to not deal with foot traffic or people trying to park/leave their parking spot. I park here for work with a monthly pass so I'm not sure about fees or overnight parking, but I would recommend getting a dash cam if you're worried about break-ins or damage to your vehicle.
