I come here most days for the gym. Very good place and very clean. The only thing that bothers me is hearing the camp counselors and after school counselors yelling at kids and talking to them very aggressively. I understand them having to deal with kids all day but don’t do it if your going to act the way some of them do.

We have sent our oldest to different ymca camps, this YMCA will hold your kid hostage until they are ready to release them. The facilities are old and run down. Don't expect the employees to know what is going on.

I left the ymca due to the lack of cleaning. It needs to be renovated for sure in all areas. It also lacks of good group instruction classes. No good instructors for the evening clases. I lost motivation and left. I’ll return once it has been renovated like the others Ymca in the Gastonia and charlotte area.

This YMCA is modest in some ways, not very well kept up equipment wise where other YMCA around us have new equipment, they also lack regular hours a normal persons work schedule couldn’t work with where other YCMA around us do, they also take up the basketball court 50% of the time with adult classes along with children’s classes!

Good morning! yes, we have half day swim camp available at Stowe this week. Online registration has closed for this week but if you call the branch you might be able to still get in if there are open spots. Thanks!

Thanks for asking Keily. There is not a water park at this location. We do have an indoor pool used for lap swimming, lessons, water aerobics, and recreational swimming. We also have a large inflatable slide!
Hi Leslie - I am happy to assist. Use of the pool is included in the cost of membership. For one adult, the cost is $54 per month. Non members would pay a guest fee of $20 to use the pool.
Although than it's was created based on faith. The Y has Adult classes and some for youth. A number of Ys have child care that is no cost and financial aid available for summer programs. Depending on the Y you go to thr most I have seen have updated gym equipment and a judge free environment.
