I'd suggest calling them. They've been our vet and kennel for the last 4 years, no one better.

I have a male puppy that is almost 6 months and the place I adopted him from said I needed to get him neutered and I'm curious if anyone knows how much they charge to have it done

It all depends on what other shots and preventative care are needed. A good rule of thumb is several hundred (200 - 400) per animal, if that's outside your budget there are other options for low cost spay and neuter in the area.
