I took the puppy class and really enjoyed it. The format is: the instructor sits in the front of a big room and she explains all of the common problems encountered with a puppy especially from the prospective of new dog owners, and she sprinkles in how to train basic commands throughout the class. During all but the first class, the puppies will all be on leash in the room together to allow them to socialize and allow owners to practice commands. We tried to take our 5 year old with us but she did not have the attention span for the hour-long class. This one is probably best suited for the adults, who can teach kids the skills at home.

I looked everywhere for a dog training facility to where I felt at home. I called over 20 places and was ready to give up, but then I stumbled across Elite Canine. I gave Geralyn a call, and instantly I knew this was where I wanted my puppy to go. I am very picky with Mabel, so for me to know this was the place from one phone call was HUGE!!! We signed Mabel up for Beginner l, when we got there she was very uncomfortable and scared with the big dogs (she's a 5 month old Toy Australian Shepherd), Geralyn called us over and told us this was not going to work. Upset I explained that we missed the puppy class cutoff so we had to sign up for this, instead of her shrugging her shoulders and letting us go back to the class. She decided that Mabel would better succeed in the class for the littles. This was the point where I knew this was not her job, it was her passion! She cares more about the success of these animals more than anything else. Over the next 5 weeks she showed that these animals were what she cared about, she wanted to give us all the tools to where we were able to give them the best outcome possible. Geralyn is highly knowledgeable, she had an answer to every question I asked. At any point in the when I contacted her about a question or concern, I was given an instant response, most dog trainers will not talk to you "off the clock." She loves every animal that walks in those doors, and will go above and beyond to see them grow. We just finished the Puppy Star class and will be going into the Beginner ll this week. Before Geralyn, Mabel was this shy little dog that would not leave my side. We would take her out and she would scream and run under my feet petrified of a stranger, now I have an obedient dog that can present all the basic commands and even walk up to strangers and let them pet her! Without Elite Canine I don't know what I would do, Mabel and I are still working on some things but she has showed so much growth in just 5 short weeks. This will definitely be our home forever, and I will always always recommend Elite Canine to everyone I know. So if you are looking for a highly knowledgeable dog trainer, that will go above and beyond for your dog, and show them endless amounts of love and happiness ELITE CANINE is definitely for you!!! I don't ever think I will be able to show the appreciation I have for you, but Mabel and I truly adore you and everything you do for us. Thank you so much!

Nice relaxed environment. I love that the first class is for humans only so we could focus on some general training tactics and get a jump on training at home. The trainer is very friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable. I had questions after class about crate training and she responded quickly. The email communications to prep for the first class are very helpful and ensured that I was prepared. Highly recommend.

She has worked and worked over the years to learn about the different breeds and how to train. She trains the owner to train their dog. If you practice what she teaches you , you will be so happy!!
