Promedica is a great place to work for. The residents are friendly and kind. The nurses and aides helped me learn and develop myself. I was very happy here and made a lot of lasting memories. Thank you

I started working at Manor care/ProMedica almost a year ago and as soon as I walked in I was speechless. The lack of care and the way they kept their patients was appalling. Little to no care was being done the halls reeked of urine and it was very rundown, dark, gloomy and dirty. I accepted the job because I wanted to make a difference in these patients lives only to find out it was way worse. Also, In the beginning the HR of the building seemed very nice. Very happy and upbeat people come to find out it is now April 2022 and I still have not received paychecks for all of October and all of November and now they’re withholding my W-2 from me as well. These people do not know how to run this building they’re very unprofessional the young lady in payroll verbally threatened me over the phone. No one returns phone calls or emails and soon they will need to answer to IRS now that it is tax season and they will be getting in a lot of trouble. All in all I think this place needs to be shut down immediately and the board of better health should and will be contacted!!

This place is disgusting. They over medicated and almost over dosed my grandmother. I truly believe if I hadn’t said something they would have killed her. She is one of the strongest people I know and I’ve never seen her so terrified. I pressed the nurse button for them to bring her something and no one showed up for 30 minutes. God forbid she actually needed help. Because of their neglect and lack of care she has been sent back to the hospital because there is a bad infection in her surgery area. Not to mention I watch the staff mistreat another patient in the 2 hours I was there. Absolutely horrific and should be shut down. Do not send your loved ones here

Do not put anyone in this place My husband was sent to the after 6 weeks in the hospital for physical rehab. He was on a heart medication that required high level nursing which promedica/manor care is supposed to be. He arrived Wednesday night. Weekend came and he started to show signs of heart failure. His nurse gave him cough medicine. He gained three pounds from Saturday to Sunday no doctor called Sunday they did a chest x ray and ekg and kept him long enough to get the fluid off. I got a call Monday from a nurse saying “the doctor wants him to go to the hospital just to be checked out”. He was in full heart failure and is in critical care on a ventilator. I’ve never gotten a return phone call and we couldn’t go in to see him because of their covid lockdown policy. This happened this week I had to stop there to pick up a bag of medicine and I said to the staff person that brought it out you guys may have killed my husband. She said and I quote “oh I am sorry have a nice day”. This place is beyond negligent And promedica don’t bother with the auto response unless you’re willing to finally call me back and tell me what your staff did to him

Questions & Answers

Why would this rehab accept a patient that supposedly had sepsis and not either put them on antibiotics, refuse the patient, or send the patient to the hospital when this became known? Why would this rehab stay silent and aid in a person’s death?
