Our first and only appointment with our child was not auspicious. Our resident physician spent the majority of the appointment consulting with another faculty member, his physician supervisor. We sat there not doing much of anything while he was out of the room. As the time drew to a close , he returned and asked us to step outside for a moment. He spent a few minutes alone with our child, and called us back. We returned to the room and in came the supervisor. She recommended a book for us to read about adolescents, but could not recall the author or correct title. She said to look it up on Amazon. It had the word "surfing" in it. This was not an easy appointment to get and we did not get very far with treatment.

Called today to make appointment was told I didn't go to wake forrest doctors so they couldnt take me as patient because "they're to busy" but I work with a guy that got in in under 2 weeks but guess what he goes to wake. So your telling me you're so busy that you can't take people but he gets in in under 2 weeks. This is why people don't seek help. I called 3 places and can't get any help. Complete bs. It's ALL about money now. Liars saying they wanna help people. Also all the do is put auto replys on this. Great company

After 3 emergency referrals it only took them 3 months to call to schedule an appointment to make an appointment for an initial intake. Go to your local Bar tender or drug dealer they will care more about you than this place and honestly be less harmful. Wake Forest staff are hostile and love gas lighting neuro divergent people. Hell risk management for the main hospital says its OK for security guards to threaten to disappear you while doctors laugh at you crying and deny you medical treatment. Do not go to any company own by Atrium for mental health needs. Your life will be worse for it.

They’re only willing to take on severe cases. I was denied psychiatric care because I was “ineligible” despite thorough documentation of MDD, Anxiety, and PTSD. They recommended government assistance programs which are already backed up and low quality. Now, I have to take on thousands of dollars of debt because WFBH would prefer I be in a suicidal crisis than a place maintenance.
