The staff don't care. They just want money. The really don't care if your pet is sick. They never have sick appointments. They normal answer call another place. That said not my problem

For the last 7 years or so I would go once a year to petsmart to buy prescription food for my Simba. Simba had been prescribed Urinary SO food that he was to have for the rest of his life. Everytime I would come in to buy a big bag of food for him I would have to stop in the back at Banfield hospital and have them just give me a new card to be able to buy the big bag of prescription food that would last a little over a year therefore every time I had to buy more food for him I also had to get the prescription card renewed. I had been doing this throughout the entirety of his life. 3 months ago I had gone to buy more food and was told by the lady at the front desk of Banfield that she wasn't sure if he was supposed to have this food and asked if I had seen a vet recently. The lady then asked me how long Simba was supposed to be on this special type of food to which I replied for the rest of his life. The lady was unsure for whatever reason and stepped to the back to speak with the veterinarian. Upon coming back she said she was not going to renew the prescription until I brought Simba in to see a vet to assess him and see if he still needed the food. I told them I don't understand what the issue was because I had done this throughout his whole life but they were adamant that he had to be seen. My simba passed away this weekend with a bladder infection. This was only 2 to 3 months after the change of his diet. This hospital only wanted money they didn't care about my Simba they only cared about their business. Highly dissapointed with what seems to be new management here, Simba was only 7 years old and his passing has been hard on the entire family. I would highly suggest to take your pet somewhere else to be seen because this place simply does not care.

Not sure but be careful because the vets are payed on commission and some of them intentionally try to scare you to get more diagnostics authorized. And the will not tell you if they screw up simple tasks like nail trimming.
No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
Hi Carmen - Yes, the Hospital is inside the store. Many of our veterinarians treat exotic animals and small mammals. Please give the hospital a call to find out if they are equipped to treat your rabbit, or with any specific questions you may have regarding bringing your rabbit in for a veterinary visit.
I believe the do, but prepare yourself for a very long wait... I took my dog without an appt once and I had to wait over an hour. But lately they are beyond booked. So I would suggest calling ahead? To see if they can even fit in walk-ins.
