Rented condo on Edisto Island - 245 Driftwood - for the week of Labor Day. Very disappointed with what I ended up staying in. There were roaches all over the kitchen and crickets in the bathroom. On morning 3, we woke up to a man banging nails into our porch railing from the ground. He did this for more than 30 minutes. No idea who he was, what he was doing, nor have any type of warning we’d be waking up to something like that. The rental didn’t include the pool located right beside the condo - it was an additional $300 per person for the week. The owners to the condo have the right to rent their pool pass and most choose not to leaving paying customers without the amenity. Does not make any sense. It states there is WiFi but there is no way to log into it. Don’t try calling the realtor office for assistance, you won’t get an answer or a call back.. even on their after hours number. There is about half the amount of parking for the amount of condos in the area which leaves paying residents with no where to park. We only had one vehicle and it was all we could do to find a safe place to park after dinner time. Very disappointed with the quality of this stay. The cost of the fees added together was the same cost as the rent for the week.. with zero amenities and no cell signal or internet. Highly recommend looking into a different location before booking this rental, I surely won’t be back.
