For women: this shelter is nothing short of a military boot camp. The whole foundation of it is based on FEAR. They drill it into you that you will get kicked out for the slightest infraction. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Parker's House for women.

I was insulted by several staff members here . They told me I have Mental problems because I am sleeping in my Car. I am going to see if I can do something about the way this place treats people they are supposed to be Helping.

No sir. They do breakfast and dinner Monday---- Friday, Saturday and Sunday if the donation come in we do lunch

I’ve a bunch of blue jeans 40x30 all shades.a few has holes at the leg sleeves...also bunch of shirts size Large..still in good shape..large flannel shirts..a couple a bit torn.. wil that help the homeless?

Yes. Put in a plastic bag and leave outside kitchen door.

Do you all need or collect bed sheets? Cleaning out linen closet and have several sets of twin or queen sheets. Have some single sheets without a match.

If you have kids, you go to the food stamp building and ask for a homeless paper to say you are homeless and go to Union mission to see if you can get in. You do need an ID and social security card and pass a drug test and Alcohol test to get in...

Union mission grace house will help with emergency housing for you only for 90 days. You could try the housing authority. Google them.
