The apartments have a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. No stove. They have studios and 2 room suites. There is 24/7 nursing staff, ot and pt on site. The activity calendar is packed every day. The bus takes trips to different stores and restaurants every day. Care ranges from fully independent living to memory care. It is an age in place facility. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The dining room has great food. I sample it every time I visit my grandmother. Menus are chosen by a resident committee. Overall I am extremely pleased with placing here there. Definitely call Stephanie Slimm and arrange a visit. It is a super value that will keep your loved one busy all day at a very affordable price compared to other local facilities.

And they also offer transportation services so your dad can attend events in and around town with his old buddies. Fortunately, there are other ways your father can stay in touch. Social media channels like Facebook or a video chat service such as Skype are two easy avenues for staying connected.

This sometimes happen when it actually comes time to make the move. Your mom is probably anxious and a little uncertain. A late life transition like this isn’t easy to make. What might help is to get her involved in some of the events and activities at the new community now, instead of waiting until she actually moves in.
