Southern Seasons is awesome! Our mini-split unit was installed by a different vendor who refused to support / fix it. I reached out to Southern Seasons who not only identified the problem, but showed me just how badly the initial install was--including the "line-run" having MULTIPLE 90 degree bends, which resulted in cracked lines. Within 2 days after contacting Southern Seasons a consultant came out to my house--after 4 days I had a quote in hand--and ONLY 6 days later the entire new unit was installed and working perfectly! The installation team was great, they answered all my questions and Brandon was terrific. I would recommend Southern Seasons to EVERYONE!

Can't say enough good things about Southern Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning! We called Anthony at 6:30 pm (AC not cooling) and answered the phone himself and sent Chris & Mike out the next morning. They fixed the issue with the upstairs AC and we had them start us on a Maintenance contract to keep our HVAC lasting as long as it can (should have done that years ago). Chris was very professional and personable and knew what he was talking about. Didn't try to sell us anything! They really wanted to see what they could do to make our existing system last. When we need a new system we will definitely be getting it from them. Their prices were incredibly reasonable and there attitude towards customer service was excellent. We have found our new, trusted HVAC service provider! 2022 UPDATE: We had Southern Seasons install a new system and we are thrilled. They got us a great deal on a very upgraded system. We love being able to control it with our phones. With the crazy heat of summer, our friends and family come over and have "AC envy" about how well ours is working. Can't say enough good things about Anthony, Chris and the whole Southern Seasons team!

Anthony and the Southern Seasons team did a great job! Here is an outline of my experience with our install of our new York unit: Sales/Estimate: Anthony showed up on time for our initial meeting and immediately pushed me away from the more expensive units and directed me to something that would accomplish my need without a lot of added complexity or cost. He was never pushy and took a 'let's cross that bridge when we get there' approach to problems that would have led to more work/pay for him, like adding an additional air return, for example. We ultimately went with the mid-tier option listed on his quote, primarily because of my concerns with supply chain of more complex electronic parts down the road, more than anything else, and got a more conventional setup. His installation labor warranty was 50% longer than other installers I had look at our system. I received the quote in a reasonable amount of time and he answered all my questions over a phone call and a series of texts, never once acting annoyed at the level of detail I wanted. His estimate for the exact same SEER unit as his nearest competitor was 30% lower than their quote. My wife and I figured going with Southern Seasons was a no brainer. Installation: The install team showed up promptly at the appointment time, in drizzling rain and got to work installing my unit and running new ductwork. They took extra precautions to do set up tasks in the crawlspace vs in the rain to keep my new components as dry as possible prior to install. The guys were great to talk with and let me come out and ask questions during their install. They accommodated my request to reroute the air handler condensate drain line mid-install without hesitation and accommodated install of a new smart thermostat, even though I had overlooked ensuring it was on the estimate before they started the install. There was no debris or trash left behind and my install was complete in a little over half a day. They were even great with my dogs during the thermostat installation inside the house. The crew did a fantastic job and when my nitpicky engineer self went to inspect their work after the install was complete I was very impressed at the cleanliness of their install and their attention to details. Ductwork was laid out well and will not impede my future access to items in my crawlspace, it's actually far better than before. Close: If there was one Achilles heel in the process I do wish that the information regarding the product warranty and utilities rebates was a little better laid out. Ive been told everything is being handled and I think the goal is to make it as headache-free as possible with the homeowner not needing to take much part in it. Most people probably love it being taken care of for them but as an engineer Im hard-wired to be the one driving this aspect of a project, particularly concerning my own home. A suggestion would be maybe a more direct summary of expectations/written outline of the process via email or located on the estimate on when to expect certain things to arrive via mail/email may be helpful (i.e. I will register your unit with the OEM by Friday, expect warranty email in two weeks). It's a little more open-ended than I would prefer but Im completely comfortable that I will receive the needed information as soon as it's available and thus does not negatively influence my rating as this is a personal hang up. Summary: I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, integrity and attention to detail of Southern Seasons and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for HVAC service or install

We have two 18 year old original AC compressors. Southern Seasons has performed the last two service calls (Freon Recharge and electronic component replacement). Very happy with the service, but realized the one unit was on it's last leg. After the first service visit, Anthony the owner visited dour home, looked at the units, and talked through various repair/replacement options. He is very knowledgeable and patient. Also appreciated that he was factual but not pushing the work. With the most recent service call, we decided it was time to replace the unit. Southern Seasons had current quotes, we selected the replacement option, and they were ready to install within days (they were actually ready before we were). Very happy with the install crews friendliness and professionalism (thanks Tony, Kyle, Brandon, and Chris). They took time to answer questions and provide advice. The indoor (furnace) and outside units were installed neatly and look great. They even re-taped some of the duct work in the basement, so it looked better than when they arrived. They fully tested the units in all modes of operation and helped configure the thermostats and explain the settings. From a product standpoint, we are pleased with the quietness and efficiency of the new unit. In summary, many thanks to Anthony and his Team and would whole heatedly recommend their services. Needless to say, we will also be calling them for all future service as well.

Questions & Answers

How often should I have preventative maintenance performed on my HVAC in Wake Forest NC?

Adam Flair | Oct 3, 2019
Tom Moody | Oct 3, 2019

It's best to have a qualified professional servicing and checking your HVAC system at least twice a year. Spring (before the AC season) and fall are the best times of the year (before the heating season). Your technician will inspect the most important items in your unit to ensure efficiency and functionality during the maintenance check.

How often should I have my heating and air conditioning equipment serviced?

Kane Harris | Oct 3, 2019
Joseph Gaylenean | Oct 3, 2019

We recommends annual maintenance on both your heating and air conditioning. Cooling systems should be checked prior to the hot summer months, and heating systems should be checked prior to the cold winter months.

Why should I replace my existing heating or air conditioning system?

Isabella Charlotte | Oct 3, 2019

If you have old, inefficient or in need of significant repair, you may want to consider replacing your air conditioning or heating system. If your present system is over 10 years old, it may be time to replace it with a contemporary heating and cooling scheme that is more energy-efficient.
