Interesting place with many pieces on display and for sale. Very pleasant staff working there as well.

Nice place. Gallery upstairs with beautiful art in different media: wood, mixed media, fabric. We went to attend Heritage Days that was going on there. They had crafters selling their art, craft demonstrations and music from live performers. We purchased a handcrafted broom. Looking forward to going back again

Wonderful crafts, more like fine art: fiber arts, wood articles. Reasonable prices..

Hi Phillip, thanks for contacting us. While our Asheville craft shops do carry work by Ray Byram, none of them currently have "Morning Light." Our online store has a small selection of his work: https://www.southernhighlandguild.org/?s=ray+byram&post_type=product If you'd like to get in touch with the artist himself, you can call the Folk Art Center at 828-298-7928 and someone will help you. Hope this helps!

Hi Tim! If you're interested in becoming a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, visit https://www.southernhighlandguild.org/join/
We do not, but we are wheelchair accessible with ramps into the building and to our upstairs galleries.
Yes, they are for sale and you can also custom order!
You could also google the facility your going to ,maybe it states whether pets are allowed or not. But yes you could always call as well. We see doggys all the time at the Folk Art Center outside, not sure about inside.
Just off the parkway there is East Village Grill and Post 70. Maybe a mile from Folk Art.
That is correct, you must meet requirements of living in a county that boarders the Appalachian Mountains and you must meet standards through a juried committee to become a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Call and ask for a packet to join.
They have valet parking for bikes.
