Loved it and loved the female guide, though the elderly “upstairs” guide made some sexist comments that turned me off (men like the architecture but women like the quilting. Seriously?) He also only made eye contact with the male I was with. Super odd. Aside from that the female guide downstairs was great and the house was beautiful and interesting.

Amazing historic home in a beautiful residential district. I stumbled upon the tour by accident, and so glad that I did! Guide was knowledgeable about the family history and the details of the home. After the tour the ladies were helpful pointing me in the direction of a great dinner and other sites to see off the beaten path as well!

A wonderful tour of the home that was General Sherman’s Savannah headquarters during the Civil War. The tour days are irregular but it’s worth the effort to try and see this beautiful home. Also, the tour was one hour long.

Best non-museum historic house tour. The stories will stick with you. You'll want to tell your friends. When you visit you become part of the history.

Yep ..but living in Savannah..I know it is the attitude and typical behavior.
Suggested donation for a house tour is $10 for adults, $5 for students and pre-school children are free. Next door, church tours of St. John's are free with donations welcome.
