The officers working here work hard to help animals... they even try to be fair with people that probably shouldn't own a pet (because they aren't educated how to take care of them and sadly, so many people never spay or neuter their animals.) We helped with a neglect situation for several horses in this county.. the officers did a super job!

Summer and her team truly care about animals and it shows. They went out of their way to help my fur babies!

If you see a pet online, you'll need to go in person during operating hours. Submit your online application in advance. Calls and email responses may take a moment. I found the best dog. Thank you.

They were wonderful. I had to take a found puppy to them and they assured me that it would be well cared for and that when the puppy was ready they would be reaching out to their network of rescue facilities to take her and find her a loving home. Could not ask for a more caring concerned group of ladies that I had met. I do know that changes have been implemented at the shelter, and from my experience the changes are for the good. Please don't allow the negative experiences of the past prevent you from taking advantage of the new changes.

Baldwin county animal services as long as you live inside of the county. We are in milledgeville ga. U can all leave us a voicemail and get you scheduled for a cat trap
You can call for them to come do a TNR, which is where they trap, fix, vaccinate, and release them so they won't repopulate. If he feeds it then it will want to stay around but otherwise it should go off in search of food.
Our adoption fees for dogs are $100 and for cats are $85 this includes: spay or neuter, deworm of intestinal parasites, a deflea and age appropriate vaccines.
The shelter works on a voicemail system. You have to leave a message in the appropriate inbox and you will receive a call back within the business day from a staff member or volunteer, depending on your needs.
You should go to the shelter and see what you can do. If it wasn't a bite it shouldn't be that bad. You'll have to reclaim him and have evidence he's yours. They're open Monday through Friday and its better to go in the morning around 10
