I would rate 0 stars but I had to put 1 star to be able to post . I was sent a letter in April 2022 for an offer . I accepted the offer and went in the office May 3rd 2022 to sign paperwork and so they could tell me how much my rent was going to be ... my move in date on my paperwork was June 30 2022 . Here it is August 20, 2022 and the unit is STILL not ready . It's still in maintenance status . How has it been 3 1/2 months and the unit is still not available ? I have called multiple times and no one has done anything . I even got another letter in the mail offering me another unit and I called to accept it and they told me I had got that letter in error and disregard it . I need help . I don't understand why nobody has done ANYTHING to get this unit available . It's crazy. But the people that work there are absolutely no help and when I call I get nothing but an attitude at this point .

Some of the most professional staff I have ever come in contact with. They are eager to do their job with integrity and excellence.

Questions & Answers

It's a shame the way the residents are treated . You can never talk to who is in charge. They always say they in a meeting. They fix stuff when they want to.

Ms. Williams, Please send me a number that I can call to talk about your concern. This is Arthur S. Milligan, Jr., President & CEO of the Housing Authority of the City of Charleston. I would like speak to as soon as possible regarding your comment and concern. Alex McFarlane is the Director of Housing. Once you send the number either he or I will get back to you.

What's up with the work orders, it's been going on three weeks and they still haven't fixed my porch light. I live alone, and it's dark you can't see going down the steps. I been using a house lamp.
