Heard great things about the chicken and dressing and decided to taste it for myself. You can could taste the seasoning on the chicken. Yams and greens were fresh and delicious. The dressing is made the right southern way. Very clean with great customer service. I Highly recommend this black own restaurant. Peach cobbler might have been the best part!! Ambience was great! I will be returning!!

Yesterday, I was excited when I googled restaurants near me and I found Kendall’s. Sunday, April 3rd, my daughter and I decided to try them. After all, they had great reviews. We were there a few minutes prior to them opening. So, we reviewed their online menu, and when tried to place our order, we found many of the things that were on the menu weren’t available. For example, my daughter wanted to order burgers for my grandchildren, but they weren’t available. I wanted the Cajun grilled fish, but they only had fried fish. We wondered why they had such good reviews, because the service left much to be desired. My daughter and I reasoned maybe they had really good food, but that wasn’t the case. The okra gumbo was terrible. It was no more than tomato sauce, tomatoes, onion and okra mixed together. The dressing was Stove Top Stuffing at best, and the collard greens were under cooked. Perhaps, we caught them on a bad day, but nevertheless, first impressions make lasting ones. Based on my experience, I will not return. I’m writing this review in an attempt to help the owner improve their quality of food and service. Also, I want save others money, and time based on inaccurate reviews.

Very simple and enjoyable experience. The menu selection isn't large but the items they do serve are well made. The Food was made in a reasonable amount of time and the staff was unexpectedly pleasant. These guys get my vote and approval for recommendations. Soulfood like this is often way too salty and makes me feel not so great afterwards. That was not an issue at this place. I knew I was in the right place by all the old people ordering. They have to choose their food more wisely, as of the rest of us don't. Hold on, I feel like I'm forgetting something.. oh uea the store front. The store front is fairly updated, clean, small, and impressive. Large glass windows with an updated interior decor makes this place great for dine in. Beware of the limited seating. Fortunately I've never seen this place packed. Enjoy.

My gratitude and joy upon finding Kendall’s is infinite! A place where fresh food that feeds the soul and is nutritious was so needed in this neighborhood. The food was just what I needed to revive my energy and get through the day. The prices are appropriate. We had the chocolate tetrazzini and it was cheesy goodness. The cabbage was seasoned just right and I didn’t feel too bad about the sugar content in the yams. Overall love it!! Best part was the service.
