Edit to add that the ED on the website is not correct and the bad ED is still there. 7/1/22 ---The location might be great but the ED Leigha is the one that kicked my mom out of her place and sent her to the hospital and refused to accept her back. It is basically an illegal eviction but during covid who could fight it. I hope anyone's experience with her is better than ours. The sales lady Denise P. will also sell you anything you want to hear and give a fake sympathetic knowing look while letting them kick your mom out. Good luck! i think you should pursue ANY other option before dealing with these 2 ladies that act godly but are truly the least kind people i have ever met.

We are committed to a full and engaging lifestyle within our community and as part of the Simpsonville community. At The Springs, we have three full-time activities and engagement staff who coordinate daily activities and special events for our residents. We have dedicated activity staff for our Friends for Life neighborhood plus two staff who work with our assisted living and independent residents to provide varied activities and outings seven days a week. For those who find large social settings overwhelming, we also offer smaller group and individual activities. Engagement through web-based technology is also a favorite among our residents. Through our use of programs such as Its Never Too Late, we offer a wide array of activities from memory games to karaoke to history tours to educational programmingvirtually anything of interest to a resident. We encourage residents to participate in activities they personally enjoy. We publish a monthly activities calendar and post daily both a schedule of activities and trivia on our wide-screen electronic message boards. Typical activities include trips to downtown restaurants and area parks, games, arts, drama, reading room book clubs, exercise, and so much more. Contact Us Today. (864) 962-8570

Can assisted living residents manage their own medications?

The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021
The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021

Part of keeping our residents safe and healthy involves ensuring that the right medication in the right dosage is taken at the right time and in an appropriate manner (with or without food, for instance). Our trained medical technicians make medication management easy for our residents. If, however, a resident wishes to self-administer medications, our staff must have a physicians order on file, and the resident must pass a routine safety test that lets us know he or she is able to take medications independently. Additionally, medications must be kept in a double lock box in the residents apartment. Contact Us Today. (864) 962-8570

Can assisted living residents keep the pharmacy they are currently using?

The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021
The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021

The Springs uses a state-of-the-art electronic medication administration record (MAR) system to assist staff in checking the identity of the resident, the medication order, and the dosage instructions. This system allows us to manage and reconcile thousands of prescriptions a day in a safe manner that ensures the right medication is given to the right person in the right way. Because guidelines require us to have medications packaged in a certain way and because we are using an electronic MAR for safety, we usually ask residents to order prescriptions through our contracted pharmacy so we can be assured the medications are packaged appropriately for dispensing. Most local pharmacies dont have the packaging service or the electronic management system. We do make an exception for our veterans to continue to use the Veterans Administration pharmacy services. How do I know if I should consider moving to an assisted living community or to a nursing home in Simpsonville SC?

The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021
The Springs at Simpsonville | Oct 2, 2021

Assisted living communities and nursing homes provide different types of care. If you need assistance with some of your daily activities such as personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, taking medications appropriately, or driving, then an assisted living setting may be perfect for you. The assisted living community can provide help for these types of activities while promoting resident independence as much as possible. Nursing home placement is best for those whose medical conditions are unstable or who are fragile with acuity requiring constant medical intervention or supervision by a nurse 24 hours a day.
