Workers over the phone have attitudes and rude. Long wait times. Especially the national social security call center and long hold times. . Local office in Dallas is routing calls to the national social security 800 number they take forever to answer, you have to hear a long menu of automated recordings and options it’s a headache. Plus again… rude and will Hang up on you make it look like it’s a phone issue when or not.

I went on a Wednesday morning just after they opened at 9am. Waited less than 30 minutes for my ticket to be called, then my case was handled in about 10 minutes with reasonable efficiency. Security guards still serve (even in May 2022) as mask police. Behind-the-counter staff member was minimally polite, perhaps even bored, and could probably improve his personal interaction skills. -4 stars for still requiring masks -1 star for customer service +2 stars for a very reasonable total time in-and-out +1 star for solving my issue = 3-star experience

My experience with trying to get in contact with anyone at the SS has been the lowest of the low! The SS administration is terrible!!! I do NOT receive my March SS check and cannot get in contact with anyone at SS!

Steve who handled my SS name change was the rudest ever. He didn’t even have the patience to listen to me and at one point told me “I was so close to asking you to have a nice day”. Appalling service. It is infuriating thinking they feel entitled to treat people poorly.
