What a rip off of a company!! First they quoted a labor cost for 3 days of $1000 dollars for a install of a pool liner that they up charged $2000.00 dollars from the company we bought it from,so to save money I did all the pre work for …I am sorry for any confusion or miscommunication. However, had there been a phone call, email, or a visit to our store (that is open 6 days a week) to discuss your concerns with our pricing and the hole, we could have resolved your complaints. Below is the information we would have discussed. 1.May 8th Mrs. Kruger called our store requesting a liner quote, at that same time she also requested a copy of the liner spec sheet so she could shop around for better pricing. May 8th I emailed the liner quote & liner spec sheet so you could SHOP around for better pricing. NOTE: Most companies don’t give up this information, but I have nothing to hide. We have great pricing. Here is where I have a problem with your statement calling us a rip off company!! You had all the information you needed to quote other companies for a new liner installation. I assume you priced around because Mrs. Kruger didn’t come to the store to order the liner until May 22nd, so our pricing must have been the best around since you chose to use our company to replace your liner. 2.Liner Pricing – Your pool is a True – L shape 18’ x 26’ x 40’. This is a very large pool which also includes an 8’ deep end. Your liner was quoted to you for $3647.00, which must have been a great price or you wouldn’t have chose us. The liner price would have been $4052.00, but being the great company we are, we try to give loyal customers good pricing. So NO, we did not mark your liner up $2000.00. 3.Liner Installation – You were quoted $1000.00 to install an In-ground Vinyl Pool True – L Liner 18’ x 26’ 40’. This price would normally be $1200.00 but being the fact that you had been somewhat of a loyal customer we gave you a better labor price, also. When I say somewhat of a loyal customer, I mean only using our opening & closing services, and then only paying those bills a few weeks before you need our services again. For intense, September 29, 2017 we billed you for winterizing your pool and we did not receive your payment until March 29, 2018. Returning to your liner installation price complaint – Yes you did have the liner out and the pool floor all cleaned up and ready to go. Our guys were very grateful and expressed that to you. Yes, I only gave you $100.00 off your bill because we had already allotted time on our schedule for - one guy on day 1 to install pump to drain water from pool, three guys on day 2 to remove old liner (which would have only taken three guys 1 ½ hour) and the rest of the day installing the new liner, and one guy on day 3 to cut in skimmer, main drain, returns & install pool lights. Mrs. Kruger called to complain about only receiving a $100.00 discount for your help. I explained our rates to her, which is why you never received a copy of our labor rate sheet. After our conversation, I agreed to give you another $100.00 off your bill. So you received a $200.00 DISCOUNT not a $100.00 discount. 4.Purchasing your own gaskets and lights – I understand online pricing can be cheaper than a small family owned business pricing, but we purchase a quarter of what the large online companies purchase. You may not be aware of this, but the more a business buys the better the prices will be. I will never buy 1000 Hayward skimmer gaskets in one pool season to get a gasket for .70 cents. I have to buy my products through distribution centers so I can give customers longer warranties and provide them with the warranty service through those manufacturers. So yes, the small town local business will be more expensive than the large corporate online company. Installing the items purchased online - We didn’t have to install the items you purchased online. We normally refuse to do it, but thinking you were and would be a long time loyal customer, we agreed to do it. 5.Hole found in Liner – We received a phone call from you ONE MONTH after the pool pool liner was installed. We ONLY CHARGED YOU FOR THE PATCH, not a service call like you state in your review.
