Easy to get an appointment and work was completed in a timely manner. Friendly front desk personnel.

The kindness of strangers. As a single mother of 2, handling a variety of things that are more common to men can be a challenge. Case in point. A valve broke on my tire. Trying to balance commitments for my kids and getting my tire fixed was a huge stressor today. I couldn't afford to drive in an unsafe way but it's just me. Enter Youngstadts. A place I have bought many tires from over the years. Tri was a blessing today. He said they would squeeze me in today even though I didn't have an appointment, which i knew might be the case. Tri saw the panic in my eyes (and some tears too) and said to me let's go check it out - maybe it's a quick fix. Low and behold it was. He made sure my tires were all good to go and sent me on my way. Tri - thank you. Your kindness will always be appreciated. Thank you Youngstadts for hiring kind people because this mom and her kids would have had a tough day without that kindness. You have a customer for life.

They try to scam you if you don’t know about your car. Wanted to charge me $50 in labor to replace a cabin filter because quote “they have to take the glove box off”. This is a simple task my dad taught me how to do when I was 15 years old and learning to drive. Not something a skilled laborer needs to be paid 20x their wage for 5 min of work. Absolutely ridiculous! I’ll find a new place for my car needs.

My most recent experience (oil change) at Youngstedts Eden Prairie, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations and fell far below the prompt service received on previous visits. Upon arriving at the shop, right up front I informed employees I was driving a different VW model (MY 2016) than what appeared in their computer system (MY 2013). I also reminded the service writer the car has a turbocharged engine, again, unlike the 2013 VW in their system. Assured this was not a problem, I handed over the keys. Thirty minutes later the Service Writer said the oil filter couldn’t be replaced because German manufacturers don’t use standard size filters. Hmm. Not a problem; we agreed I’d bring the car back next week for a new filter. Another 30 minutes pass before I’m told the car is ready. When I asked about the delay, the Writer admitted they were confused and thought it was the 2013 VW. Wait a second; the very 1st thing I told them an hour earlier was that my current car WAS NOT the car in their records (different model & MY) AND it has a turbocharged engine! Youngstedts did apologize and didn’t change me for the 5th quart of oil. However, it was very frustrating to not be heard - the whole ‘different car’ conversation seemed to fall on deaf ears.
