Visited this hospital twice in last 2 weeks and it was a pleasure. No wait in the waiting room and all the ladies at front desk were helpful. The Nurse James was my sons “favorite Doctor.” He was so personable and attentive and made my son feel SUPER COMFORTABLE! The other nurse Cynthia and doctor who I forgot her name was also great Thank you ALL so much!!!

Went in for our patient surgery- Mary was such a blessing I was so nervous about getting an IV & she was such an angel I didn’t even feel it. Then Ms Traci woke me up with all of her love & compassion & made me feel like her own child. These ladies made me feel at home throughout surgery & I couldn’t ask for a better bedside manor. Hospital was clean & communicated with me every step of the way. 5 star!

New to Baptist Healthcare and not impressed. After being a patient at Norton Healthcare out of state for 25 years, I guess my bar was set too high. After 4.5 hours in ER (which wasn’t busy when I got there) I only saw a med student who took my history which I had already given the nurse. Only when I said I was leaving after 4.5 hours, did a doctor pop in for literally two minutes and offered no reason for my shortness of breath, dizziness and heavy pressure on chest. She didn’t care about my history not helping me feel better. I felt she just wanted to run up my tab with tests that I didn’t need. I got conflicting information from she and the nurse in what tests they wanted me to take.I didn’t see my nurse for the last two hours and only saw her because I said I was leaving. While I am in love with Amelia Island, I am greatly disheartened by its healthcare. It was the worst medical experience of my life. I still don’t know what is wrong with me, I feel worse and I am sure I will have a big medical bill.

No downtown is at Baptist Health or UF Shands on 8th street Jacksonville.
No, but they will house someone under the Baker act
you can only have one a-day
The Amelia Breeze Cafe is not open for dinner.
No. If there is concern for a high risk birth or known problems that will require a proper NICU, then your best bet is Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (Downtown). The Wolfsons Children's Hospital there is the absolute best in the region and is fully and extensively staffed and equipped to handle any and all problems or concerns with the greatest of care.
No, dont go there! Beware!!
No they are closed unless emergent. Holiday staffed only.
