We do offer Personal Training. The ideal frequency of personal training sessions varies from person to person. Just getting started with exercise and healthy eating? Need regular motivation and support to get to the gym? Have an injury that you're working through? You'll probably need to see a trainer once or twice each week. Many weekly clients reduce their frequency of personal training sessions to bi-weekly or even monthly once they've demonstrated the ability to consistently get to the gym and progress their exercises as recommended. Although we miss seeing their smiling faces, we are always proud when clients reduce their need to see us because they've become self-directed exercisers.
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about ART. You can also visit https://activerelease.com/patients/
Yes! Women's health physical therapy assesses and treats the body as a whole, including the muscles of the pelvic floor. What is the pelvic floor? It is a group of muscles located at the base of the pelvis that aid in continence, sexual health, and organ support. Why is PT needed? Often, physical therapy is needed to improve muscular strength, endurance, and coordination of the pelvic floor, as well as to teach behavior modification and management techniques to the client.

Comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows for movement is best for any of our services.
We hear this question every time we consult with a new client. Unfortunately, there really is no way to answer that question with a definitive answer. Frequency of visits is determined on a case by case basis. For the last 16 years we have developed a comprehensive understanding of what our therapy can and cannot do. However, if there is no change after three visits, we will refer you to your doctor. Typically even our most challenging cases experience at least a 75% improvement within their first three visits.
Traditionally insurance companies dictate a standard plan of care. We have found our clients are better served by creating an individually tailored plan of care, allowing us to treat you more efficiently and effectively.
We do not accept or file insurance claims. However, we are happy to provide you with a reimbursement form to submit to your insurance provider. Most insurance carriers, with the exception of Medicare, have issued reimbursements for our client’s visits when the proper paperwork is submitted. We do accept flexible spending accounts that are set up with a Visa/MC through your work or insurance carrier.
Making an appointment is as easy as giving us a call, (904) 491-4980. Prescriptions are NEVER necessary for any of the services offered at Advanced Muscle Therapy; including Physical Therapy.
Your doctor usually isn’t trained in the area to relieve myofascial pain as well as the staff at Advanced Muscle Therapy. In a typical scenario a patient presenting with joint or muscle pain would be prescribed muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories, maybe a steroid pack and rest. While prescription drugs may temporarily relieve the pain, ultimately the pain will return. Never will any of the prescribed drugs above create healthy joints or muscle.
