I got in trouble and that's on me no one there. I have supreme anxiety and I got probation and a few other things. The trial was okay, it felt more like a pre determined play that I was apart of than an actual trial. So I didn't sleep much until my sentencing. I didn't end up in jail thankfully and have to report often, and I can't tell if I'm ever doing things right because I get no responses from anyone about anything. I get that they have a lot of more pressing matters but isn't that the point of being assigned to certain people? I am not like many others in the regard that I just want this over with. I'm trying to better myself and show I'm actually grateful for what opportunity I have. But again, they have a lot more than me to deal with. Just wish I knew if I was doing okay like that want me to be. Anyways if I could give like 3.8 that would be the accurate number. But overall I get their disdain and everyone looks ragged and burntout. Not everyone is bad though and to me that's the point of the justice system. I love this city

Akron Municipal Court is so terrible and unjust my husband and myself has had our rent money in escrow since March 18, 2021 and never had an escrow hearing they have released the funds to the Landlord 3 times we have been to 10 eviction hearings only we have put in motions for discovery for evictions objections to magistrate Hightower decision to release funds to Landlord Filed all evidence needed for our cases we have so much evidence of fraud upon the court for documents signed decisions being made without our knowledge no transcripts no hearing dates for escrow it it’s overwhelming what they have done to us at this point we are scared for our life all we wanted was justice to be served escrow was filed before anything now we are being evicted without an eviction all our stuff has to be out of our residence/ business by March 29th 2022 this pain in unbearable at this point all cause we asked for repairs the landlord has received money from United Way, and Rent money from 3 different escrow cases from Akron Municipal Court with the help of magistrates, judges, bailiffs and the Akron Police Department it’s so bad we are afraid for our life Judge Annalisa Williams did say magistrate Hightower oder for funds to release to landlord dismissed but 2 days later that escrow case was closed and money released to Landlord how why are they doing this to us we have everything we need to back up every claim it’s all Public records wish I could have give this court System zero stars because my husband and I has zero help when all we were asking for was for Repairs to be done God don’t like ugly what’s done in the dark will come to the light

Awful that they don’t even deserve the one star review but I have no other choice. Every single employee has been so unfriendly and rude here. They all act as if they have absolutely no interest in helping people nor even working their job. Seriously, this is the worst court in the whole state of Ohio and if you have to deal with this one, I whole sincerely apologize because you’re most likely going to have a terrible experience. This place will never get change or improve. Absolutely despicable, pray/wish/hope you never have to come here.

This is by far the worst court system I have ever had to deal with. Apparently their files are STILL kept in paper form and they CLEARLY easily lose pieces of said files. I paid off a fine from NINE years ago and just received a collection letter demanding payment in full. I called the court and they have "no record" of my community service. The first lady I talked to kept talking over me, was very rude, and would not let me speak, I asked her, "can I talk? I let you talk and listened to you." She told me not to "yell at her"? So I raised my voice and stated, "THIS IS YELLING! Do you see the difference?" She hung up on me. I called back and although the second person was much more courteous, they are still telling me I never did my community service. Apparently, I now need an attorney for something I thought I handled legally almost a decade ago. What a joke.

I Would like to pay on my fines on line. How do get started.

Elaine Wheeler | Oct 3, 2018
Emperor Ahasheures | Oct 3, 2018

Go to the Akron City Municipal Court Web Page. Look for the tab that says pay Fines and Costs, enter the ticket number and it will walk you through paying. I do suggest fighting the ticket. The City of Akron Police Department are known for not filing their traffic reports with their tickets and the City does not mail out the traffic report, as per law. Both items are violation of due process per the Ohio Revised Code and grounds for dismissal. If they fail to send you the traffic report, you have an automatic dismissal, win against the ticket and pay nothing.

Yes. With that said, if it is a traffic ticket and you did not present insurance information at the time of the ticket, you will be required to still submit the insurance information to them and/or the Ohio BMV.
