We have been waiting for our 2020 refund and 2021. 2 years and in a row without our refund. We submitted all requested documents and haven't received any updates. The website isn't helpful. We are working with tax advocate but still haven't gotten now where. Can't get a hold of anyone over the phone either. I'm sure it will be the same sad story for 2022. My family is struggling financially because of this.

Every person you talk to at the IRS is rude and ignorant. Terrible customer service, have been transferred multiple times to the wrong departments and spent over 4 hours on the phone. My time is not free…..

I'm not sure if you resolved this issue or not, but if you haven't filed your taxes yet, it'll be credit rebate recovery and you'll get it with the rest of your money. But you can only do it for the 1st and 2nd round of stimulus money

Go to your closet local IRS Building and get and appointment and they will help you out for free just ask them they will not take anything from you and if you don't want to move forward you don't have too at the in of the day they are here to help better to go in the the phone its a Hell of a lot faster now in and out

Go in there and take a number. They saw me without an appointment.
1. File a police report and report the identity theft; 2. apply for an identity pin from the IRS and report the fraud to the IRS. 3. file a return via paper and send it certified mail. Because you are claiming the recovery rebate credit and due to backlog at the IRS do not expect this return to come back for 3 - 4 months. Good luck and God Bless
