Speak to your vet and have them do an exam asap after adopting from here as their vet is incompetent. We adopted a cat that we knew was sick but specifically asked multiple times if he needed medication so we could get it for him to be a healthy happy kitten he deserves to be they repeatedly said no he needs no medication and will kick it on his own we took him to our vet and he needed two different antibiotics and an immune support booster possibly has ringworm and polyp. I have reported to the sanctuary and their response was basically that sucks hope he feels better none of our animals have ring worm so its not on us yet he has seen no other animal since being adopted will never adopt another cat from the sanctuary again after previous positive experiences this new management seems incompetent to run this facility

Awesome rescue! Got my girl, Poe there and she is such a great cat. The volunteers were super nice and responsive. I would definitely adopt from here again.

We loved it. The staff was super helpful answered all our questions. The dogs were awesome.

Super friendly folks running this place. You can tell that they really care about the animals under their care. I had the most pleasant experience working with them in my adoption process. 10/10 would work with them again.

We do if there is room at time just call ..of not Lehigh valley Tnr can help
If you go on the website for The Sanctuary at Haafsville, click on the button for Volunteer. Information is there.
The Sanctuary can help in most cases based on if the shelter is currently full or has space available for owner surrenders. The best thing to do is call and speak to someone re: this matter.
I was just there yesterday and saw donation bins there.
It depends if a puppy or not you can call or stop by on Sat 10-2 or can email them too
Depends where you are located. Calling the closest shelter or animal hospital is your best bet.
Hi Reese - The Sanctuary is a Volunteer organization so while we do help owners when they need to surrender their pets, we do not have staff on hand to allow drop offs at anytime. If you need to relinquish your pets you can call the main number and select the correct option to speak to someone regarding surrendering a cat. A volunteer who coordinates that will contact you back.
Hello Jerry. We do help with cat intakes and you can call our main number, listen for prompt #4 and then leave a message. A volunteer will get to you to go over the process. Thank you for asking.
Yes, they do. There is one room for small dogs, and one room for larger dogs.
Or send in an inquiry under the "Volunteer" tab on the Sanctuary website. www.thesanctuarypa.org
I had to give up my own darling cat, Cricket, to The Sanctuary because of my increasing disabilities. I cry every day, i miss her so much. Anyway, whatever the cost, cats like sweet Cricket are given to Haafsville spayed (or neutered) w the necessary clean bill of health & vaccinations. I spent over $500.00 on her w spaying and every vaccination she will ever need so i could give her a chance for a great home. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will be assured shes all ready to go to her own home, hopefully very, very soon.
