Dr. Lauren Orenstein - fantastic. a million stars. the best doctor across all specialties I have ever had. she is a wonderful doctor and I have never had someone make me feel so cared for. Would recommend her to anyone needing a dermatologist across the entire southeast. The staff, the wait, the process - very mediocre. I have to always book months ahead of time, and have had to reschedule the week of twice (to a different day that same week or the next week). Dr. Orenstein in particular has a very limited schedule. The clinic itself is very difficult to get in touch with by phone, so I suggest using the patient portal if it isn't urgent. I received excellent care while I was here. I suppose it's a matter of how badly you want to be seen at Emory.

Disrespectful!!! I had an appointment scheduled for today at 2pm. I received all the texts and reminders even completed the pre visit profile. I arrived early for my appointment today. They said sorry the doctor is doing a clinic and we had to cancel your appointment at the time of arrival. Evidently all the technology failed to send me or inform me of the change. Worse yet after the checkin person said that the nurse called my name for the appointment!!! So what - really even the nurse didn’t know. If I did this I would have been charged $25 for my failure. This is insane! So double check your appointments and pray they don’t cancel directly to your face.

I gave up on Emory and now I drive all the way to Athens to go to a great dermatologist. The doctors are ok at Emory but it is impossible to get an appointment and the pricing structure seems arbitrary. The entire Emory business model is controlled by a thick layer of bureaucracy creating inefficiencies.
