It was a beautiful day to take a tour. Our wagon seated about 16 people and the horses knew the way. The tour guide was nice, if a bit opinionated, but we enjoyed ourselves in spite of it. We stopped at 5 farms and it took about 2 hours (our group enjoyed shopping). The wagon driver was very good with the kids. Overall, a win. I highly recommend it!

There is one right across the street. It isn't owned by the Amish.
Jams are the best option! We went one year and bought many kinds! Also hand made swings, chairs, and much much more!
The Welcome Center has a map of all the Amish who have goods for sale, I do believe there is an Amish family whom do make dolls or I might have seen the Amish dolls for sale in the Welcome center. Get a map it's at the register d it is awesome to just read about the local Amish and see all the homemade items the y have for sale. Hope this helps! 😁
Everything is behind normal due to the cool wet weather. Plowboy Produce Auction has been having garden plants and some green onions. Strawberries are just beginning to get ripe. Tomatoes and sweet corn is usually ready around July 4th. Maybe by the end of May the other veggies will be available.
I wish I could help you. I used to live next to a couple of amish families. They are the most friendly and compassionate people I have ever met. I wish more people were like them.
I use my car. The houses that have something for sale usually have some type of homemade sign highlighting what they're selling. The last time I was there I found a house selling homemade pear butter, blackberry preserves and one with fresh and warm from the oven banana bread. You never know what you will find. I prefer buying my jams and jellies from the individual houses instead of from the stores. In my opinion the households selling are fresh ingredients and not bulk packaged and shipped to a store there.
We will be glad to give you a free Amish map and directions. You can call us at 931-829-2433

I was there on Monday and there was more people there than I expected but it wasn't bad.

No, the Amish do not want pictures taken at their farms. This is the Swartzentruber order of Amish. They are the "Old Order". Here the Amish children ( boys& girls) go to school 1st thru 8th grade. They do use dentist and doctors. It is respectful of their religion not to make pictures.
Just like is mention above every house has a sign of whatever product they make at home so you can go there if that is something you want they are friendly and polite

They have squash, cucumbers, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, eggplant, okra, sweet corn, tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, cherry tomatoes and blackberries and blueberries are beginning to ripen.
All the shops will be open as usual. The rain may affect them getting in the gardens but that's about all.
both welcome centers and the amish market are closed on Sunday's. The flea market is open on Sunday's though, the outdoor sellers are there Friday-Sunday. The indoor store is open every day except Tuesday.
