My sister has been a “resident” of Traditions for 5 years. I say “resident” because our family realizes the staff treats the “residents” like family, instead of patients. The extraordinary & loving care my sister receives warms our hearts and puts our minds at ease.❤️ The staff is exceptional - the administrator, the activities director, HR, nursing, kitchen, physical therapy, front office, financial, CNA’s and custodial. Over the years, I have interacted with each department and have ALWAYS been received in a kind, courteous and professional manor. The toll of the pandemic has been a very stressful time for the “residents”, family members and staff. Our family was hit hard quite early with the passing of our brother and his wife, our sister-in-love. Due to the restrictions regarding visitation, my sister had to endure this heartache without the benefit of family to comfort her. I will be eternally grateful to the entire Traditions staff for lovingly helping us to console, pray with and love my sister during this nightmare. The calls from the administrator, Tre, Gloria, Mika, Miss Theresa and countless others to reassure us my sister was COVID free lessened our anxiety. 🙏🏽 Traditions is very unique because I have friends whose family members are not having the same experience as my sister. I have HIGHLY recommended they consider Traditions and for anyone else who is seeking to find quality care for a love one…..Traditions is the best.

My mother just transferred to Traditions Health & Rehabilitation in Stonecrest from another facility in Gwinnett County, and I can't say enough good things about the kind staff and the facility as a whole at this point. My mom says it's "a 100 times better than the other place" "especially the hot food" which gives me hope that she can pick back up her weight. Thank you Traditions and Staff for the great care you give your residents.

My father was in a facility farther away so our family decided to move him closer so we chose this facility. My father had been in this facility before after his surgery a few years ago and things were good. So we moved him back here so he would be closer to the family, well needless to say this was the worse move we could have made this place had changed so much. I have tears in my eyes as I'm writing this review. I noticed my father not looking are acting like the man, I knew. He was not coherent, he went from being an interjected person to being nontalkative, and lethargic despite the time of day we would visit him. Whenever we would take him to a doctors appt etc. When we got near the facility we would be so sad and ask if he had to go back, this broke my heart but physically we couldn't take him home like we wanted to. My father had a pacemaker but the piece that monitored his hearts rate by his cardiologist was in his room at all times I didn't think that it was ever been checked We took our father out and put him back in the other facility but I believe it was too late to much damage had been done. This facility we moved him back to expressed great concerns in the differences they saw in my fathers well being. Some of the staff members asked what did that other place do to your dad, this is not the same man that left here, some of the changes they notice was that he no longer knew the staff members that worked with him just a few months ago. Thank God for Nurse Katheryn who took it upon herself to get my father back to the man he was before he left their. He was getting there, but due to the neglect from the other facility I believe it was to late. My father went home to be with the Lord on Feb 19, 2022, due to cardiac arrest. I feel my father would have been here longer if we had never moved him back to traditions. I can't bring him back by sharing this but I do hope this brings awareness, help others and prevent this from happening to others.

My organization volunteered monthly at Traditions in Lithonia for years and then Covid happen. The patients looked forward to our monthly bingo games and we miss them as well. We still contribute by providing activity books and other supplies for the patients since they are still confined to their rooms due to Covid restrictions. God Bless the staff and patients there!

Questions & Answers

There need to be more responsible staff member. I understand working hard, but beening professional goes with the job,and that's not there.

Unfortunately you'll find that problem across all service industries and this one is no different. As a family member, you have to be DILIGENT and PRESENT for your loved one and in ALL cases you must bring awareness to management, administrator, ETC about what's not right! The job of the staff and CNA is very hard, but I insist that staff working with my family member is professional, patience, compassionate and shows empathy and concern.......when they don't do this.......its a problem and I let everyone involve know it! Our goal is always to build repoire with one another so that everyone involve WINS!

Is there security on staff at all times?! How often is this facility inspected? Where are the ratings posted? Thank you!! Hopefully the advertisement is correct.

The rating is 2.2. This place should be closed. Patients don't have call light answered. My sister has had to crawl out into hall for help. She couldn't breath. Once found in floor trying to get help BLUE an unresponsive this last time found needing CPR and is in hospital in ICU. Don't put anyone there not even a dog or a stuffed animal. They care only about a pay check. One day at one o'clock my sister was hungry and waiting for breakfast.
