This office chose to lie, twice, and not one person showed me the respect of giving me a phone call. I am seeking a new doctor immediately. I would NOT recommend this company if you want to be treated with care and dignity.

I’m 79 and have a lot of pain. 3 Drs. Suggested medical marijuana. From the moment I connected with Canna MD. They were nothing but helpful. At my appointment I discovered my Drs. Office hadn’t sent any information and Canna MD was very helpful and then they helped get the application for the Florida state card plus all the important things I needed to know on my phone. They told me a couple of things to look for in the shops and I must say the shop I used, Trulieve, was extremely helpful also. It was a very pleasant experience.

What conditions qualify for a medical marijuana card?

McKenzie Lewis | Oct 2, 2020
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 2, 2020

As outlined by Amendment 2, the following conditions qualify for medical marijuana treatment in Florida: ALS, cancer, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and PTSD. In addition to these qualifying conditions, Senate Bill 8A also allows for treatment of other “diagnosable, debilitating conditions of like, kind, or class” (such as anxiety, depression, and migraines), as well as terminal conditions (diagnosed by a physician other than the physician issuing certification) and chronic nonmalignant pain (defined as pain caused by a qualifying medical condition that persists beyond the usual course of that condition). To find out if your condition is eligible, simply give us a call at (855) 420-9170! You may also visit: https://www.cannamd.com/conditions/

Are you REAL doctors?

McKenzie Lewis | Oct 2, 2020
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 2, 2020

Yes! Our physicians are state-licensed, board-certified MDs and DOs just like any other doctor you might visit. However, our physicians went through additional training in order to be able to legally recommend medical marijuana to patients, as mandated by Florida state law.

Why can’t I see my regular doctor for a medical marijuana card?

McKenzie Lewis | Oct 2, 2020
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 2, 2020

Florida law requires all recommending physicians to complete a state-mandated training program in order to qualify patients for medical marijuana use. All CannaMD physicians are state-licensed, board-certified physicians who have completed this additional training.

How do I qualify for medical marijuana?

McKenzie Lewis | Oct 2, 2020
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 2, 2020

Before purchasing cannabis from a medical marijuana treatment center (or dispensary), Florida patients must first qualify for a medical marijuana certification; CannaMD provides qualified patients with the state-required recommendation to complete this process. The state of Florida outlines a number of eligible health conditions. To see if yours is one of them, simply give our board-certified physicians a call at (855) 420-9170. We’re happy to review your personal medical history for FREE and steer you in the right direction!

Why is the renewal fee 195 every 7 months? I’ve heard of most fees only being 75

Roddy Reynolds | Oct 2, 2020
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 2, 2020

Florida law requires patients to see a medical cannabis physician in person every seven months; some clinics require patients to come in more frequently for a lesser fee (which equates to greater expense in the long run). CannaMD's fee of $195 every seven months is aligned with industry standards.

If I am approved how long is the card active and accepted? Weeks, Months or a year?

Flapkatt | Oct 3, 2019
CannaMD - Gainesville Medical Marijuana Doctors & Cannabis Cards | Oct 3, 2019

Medical marijuana certifications are valid for 210 days. Per Senate Bill 8A, patients must then visit a qualified medical marijuana physician (like CannaMD) to renew. Note: State law requires all renewal appointments to be in-person; this isn't a process you can complete online and/or over the phone. Please feel free to give us a call at (855) 420-9170 if you have any other questions!
