Dental assistant told me that a banana has more radiation than an x-ray. I'm sick of being lied to by dentists about ionizing radiation - but this just takes the prize for the most ignorant comparison I've ever heard. Pediatric dental practices are taking far too long in recognizing actual science - there is no natural source of x-rays on Earth. It takes a lot to get to the nucleus of the cells, as the cell's entire job is to protect it. X-rays blast through and cause double breaks of DNA - completely unmeasurable damage so no corroboration can be made, legally. Yet they are so gung ho to do them, senselessly "just to make sure" I'm tired of being treated like a nut case for having actual knowledge of biophysics and dealing with these people who think their credentials outweigh all other knowledge. I'm tired of hearing the same old "These are 'different x-ray' because of the imaging film being digital. That's ignorant also. They don't want to tell us the truth - there is no safe level of x-ray and less is actually sometimes worse because the DNA repair mechanism doesn't recognize light damage! This has been known since 1945! The government now says "don't expose children to them unless absolutely necessary" but their trade group, the ADA, which people mistake for government (it's not) continues to support routine and non-clinical need x-rays, and continues to maintain that Mercury is safe and they only stopped doing it because of patient concerns.

My child went there for a few visits. Most of these were cancelled and rescheduled by them last minute. They always allowed us in the room until this last time. The appointment was for spacers to be put in. They did not do spacers and UNKNOWINGLY filled a cavity instead. The staff updated dad in the waiting room that they "did the top but the bottom has to be rescheduled" they did not say filling, he assumed spacers. The only reason we knew spacers were not installed is visual inspection of our child's mouth. Hes 5. He does not know what's done. They did something without our permission. Would not let us in the room with our child when they did everytime before. Lied to us. Ai called and asked someone to call me, no one has. NEVER AGAIN.

Just go somewhere else. Went in for my child to have spacers placed where they pulled his teeth, and they did a separate procedure without my consent and didn't place the spacers like we were there for.

Welp, we had our first visit and we will never be back. The reason I went here was because they said they could see my kids simultaneously, so I wouldn't have to wait through back to back appts. Well, they took them back to back anyways. I called the morning of our appt to confirm that masks were required in their office. I show up and not one staff member was wearing a mask? Okay... then they didn't have any patients or waiting parents put one on either? So, how are masks required then? I also did not like how they don't write down all the detailed care instructions and follow-up needs for your kids anywhere. They just tell them to you once and expect you, as a non-dentist, to remember this huge info dump for multiple people. Not helpful, not fast, not clean. The dentist takes MassHealth but the orthodontist there does not by the way, so you'll have to referred out if you need that kind of work done.
