Lots of bugs, no trail markings. They have a sign at the entrance that said the trail is a mile long. There’s better trails in Lancaster County.

Beautiful spot work a medium-level hike. Lake is breathtaking but they need to fix the sign that explains Grub Lakes' interesting history!

Totally.
No, unfortunately they are not.
They used to swim here in the 70s or something. Also used it for drinking water and it is spring fed. I don't get the no swimming but is is so. Maybe the iron ore rusts or there are weird currents that can kill swimmers.
I’ve caught bass and sunnies, seen grass carp and koi, and have heard that there are bullheads and blue cats.
No, dogs must be on a leash and theres not really any space to run around, its more like a short hiking trail around a lake. Mostly shaded and covered by trees, the terrain is a little uneven and rocky in parts as well. Not a dog park, but people walk their dogs there.
