The guy I talked to ended up being rude and didn't really help with the situation and the first time I used them they seemed like they would help but nothing ever came of it when I know and they knew we had a case

The landlord didn't evict you right and if he left the country who fault is that I don't think you're considered a squatter i wouldn't worry unless the Bank or police is trying to seize the property with paperwork ect.. I hope Everything works out for you and your family.

No. But if your case goes to trial it is highly recommended that you have an attorney. You have to know how to submit evidence and file motions etc.
