As a former wrestler, I wanted to get back into grappling. I knew I was in the right place to learn BJJ when I saw the lineage on the wall and having a short conversation with Chris Bower. This is one of the best gyms I have ever stepped foot in. And I can honestly say this is the only gym that ever felt like a second home. The overall gym culture is the best I've ever seen and been a part of. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and willing to help you learn. The instruction (BJJ) is world class with Chris Bower and Vincente Junior. I highly recommend anyone in the area to check out Bowerhouse MMA for all your martial arts needs from BJJ to kick boxing and hobbyists to pro fighters. This is the place to be.

If you’re looking for a great gym to train at, this is the one. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming and same with the students. There are a ton of classes to choose from and they also have a full gym to lift at.

This place is fantastic! Tons of mat space, heavy bags, and a fully equipped weight training area with platforms, machines, and free weights. Additionally, Chris Bower and all of the other instructors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There is truly no other MMA gym like this in Frederick County, and probably in Maryland. If you are looking to train in BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing, or MMA, Bowerhouse is the place to be!
