Steak and shake on West Washington and High School Road. ABSOLUTE WORST fast food experience of my life! The workers stood around forever chatting behind the counter and in front of the grill before even starting to prepare orders, I got charged $5.90 for a shake that said $2.50 in the kiosk. When I pointed it out and asked about it, they told me the price had been raised and the kiosk just hadn't been updated. Not only does that not make sense, because the kiosk couldn't charge you that if someone had not updated it, but it's a lie because I've called two other steak and shakes to check prices. When the name was called, they had mixed up my order with someone else's, so we were given the wrong orders. I had to return to the counter to ask for ketchup because there was none in the dining room, nor had they provided any with the fries. I ordered cheese fries with my double butter burger, and what cheese fries constituted was an order of regular fries and a tiny little plastic cup of cheese sauce at a much higher price than the regular fries. And to cap it all off, I couldn't wash my hands before or after the meal because both of their bathrooms were out of order. However, I will admit that the lady at the counter spoke very sweetly... When she was asking if I'd like to leave a tip... One star rating, simply because you can't give a zero star... Could have eaten better at Culver's for a third of the price, or at Hardee's or Arby's for half the price.

I ordered the double steak cheeseburger with fries and an Oreo shake online. The burger was tasteless and the bread was a little sour. The fries were overcooked and dry. They were not fresh and it tasted like it was made the previous day. The shake was okay but it was not worth the money. I'm not coming back ever again.

Delicious. An absolute must have if you’re visiting the Midwest. Took a while for the food to come out but when it did, it was worth the wait

I lived in the Midwest for a few years during my childhood and Steak 'n Shake was a staple of our time there. I recently visited Indiana for the first time in 20 years and had to stop by here. The food was exactly as I remembered it as a kid. Sirloin cheeseburger and mint cookies and cream shake. Best part of my trip. Customer service was great and speedy.

Wow, my wife and I was in last week and both had chili. We don't go often but we have never had any issues.
