Being a professional athlete, I needed top of the line service and treatment for rehabbing my broken collarbone. The San Fransisco Giants didn’t hesitate when I told them I wanted to do my rehab here. Getting started with Athletix, I had high expectations. Even still, I was absolutely blown away. From their professionalism, to their cleanliness, to their facilities and instruments; it’s been nothing but first class. I’d strongly recommend Athletix to anyone who’s looking to better themselves. I want to personally thank Shoni and Logan for helping me everyday and always giving me their 100%. Their knowledge and care has gotten me so far already in just a few weeks. Will be moving on to strength and conditioning in Athletix soon with Juan and Sharif; can’t wait to get started!

Everyone here was very attentive and helpful. I’ve been to several PT centers and this was by far my favorite. Got the most sessions with Shoni and gotta to say he is awesome! Very knowledgeable and interactive with the exercises he puts together. Oh and the massages. They were freeing!!

Yes, our Davie clinicians help to relieve knee pain and restore function. Knee pain typically occurs across our active patients who participate in high impact sports that require repetitive jumping and running (basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field, etc.) It can also be a key indicator of imbalances in the body that can be identified with a physical therapy evaluation. We use a combination of manual therapy and corrective exercise to restore normal mechanics and progressively load to strengthen and improve overall function of the knee.
Yes, our Davie Physical Therapists can help alleviate symptoms of low back pain and restore function. Mobility, flexibility, strength, and stability are important in both the low back and hips, they have to work both together and independently from one another to achieve proper body mechanics with static and dynamic activity! Hip pain can be associated with repetitive squatting, running, or jumping with insufficient glute or quadricep strength and motor control. Treatment goals are to alleviate tight tissues pulling on the spine and pelvis, as well as restoration of normal body mechanics with corrective exercise. Progressively overloading these movements will help strengthen the hips and spine to return to activities of daily living without pain.
Yes, physical therapy has proven successful in relieving long-term symptoms in patients experiencing both acute and chronic neck pain. Manual, or “hands-on” treatments consist of special techniques designed to reduce the stiffness in the neck and improve range of motion. Targeted exercises focus on the root of the pain, to strengthen, build, and improve the muscles and tissues in the neck. Treatments will focus on improving posture to aid in the recovery of the neck muscles, as well as avoiding re-injury in the future. Additional treatment services may also be included as your physical therapist deems fit, based on the nature of your condition.
Yes, our physical therapists in our Davie location can help you strengthen your shoulder muscles in order to accommodate your physically demanding lifestyle. By doing targeted exercises just a few times a week, you can strengthen the range of muscles in your rotator cuff region. Your physical therapist can also provide manual techniques for relief, such as targeted massage, pressure, and stretching of the affected area(s) to keep muscles loose and to relieve inflammation.
Yes, our Davie team can treat your back pain with physical therapy. Physical therapy can address back pain by helping to improve your range of motion, strengthening the muscles in the affected areas, and using targeted massage to reduce tension. In many situations, working with a physical therapist to improve can significantly reduce the severity of your back pain, and may even help you avoid more invasive procedures, such as surgery.
Physical therapy has been proven to be successful in treating both acute and chronic sports injuries, such as ligament sprains, muscle strains, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, tendinitis, and more. Your physical therapist will teach you about what your body is experiencing and the recovery process it will go through. You and your Davie physical therapist will work together to help you reach your physical goals, allowing you to be engaged and active in your rehabilitation. Physical therapy offers so much more than current symptom relief - it offers sports injury prevention and natural performance enhancement. If you are an athlete suffering from a sports-related injury, don’t waste any more time on the sidelines. Take your recovery to the next level with our physical therapy team.
The Davie clinicians will treat you as an individual and your experience will be as unique as you are! Yes, our entire Davie clinical team goes through rigorous training and education to receive their licensure in the field of physical therapy. All Physical Therapists must hold a degree from an officially recognized program, in addition to completing their national licensure examination. PTAs are also qualified, certified professionals, although they do not have a PT license. Our Davie physical therapists have extensive experience treating athletes from a wide variety of disciplines, including the: NFL, NBA, MLB, USA Olympics, FIFA, WTA and more. Building off this broad base of experience, your rehab program will be tailored specifically to you and your individual goals. We will help restore your prior level of function whether you are post-operative, a weekend-warrior, or a professional athlete.
Physical therapy for athletic purposes helps with overcoming injuries, refocusing strengths, and developing healthy habits. Physical therapists are also trained to help you bounce back from your injury, with just as much strength (if not more!) than you had before the injury. They are dedicated to always helping you reach your peak and get back in the game! whatever that may be.
