Came to the fire house to get assistance with removing my wedding band from my swollen finger . I was almost sure it would need to be cut off but the guys made it clear that would be a last resort & they would try to get it off without cutting it & they did ! All the guys seem so sweet with great personalities. Thank you guys for everything.

To the brave men who answered the call on 11/9/2021 at roughly 11:30am regarding a fire at 959 East 156th St, I know this is your job, your career, your duty... but wow! Your professionalism, your efficiency, your speed, is nothing but awe-inspiring. I was not only impressed but amazed how the only thought any of you had, was getting the people out and the fire contained. To the Fire Chief on scene, you treated everyone with respect and care. Often times, it's easy to write a post to complain and criticize but I hope you all know how much you are valued, especially in a community that doesn't always know how to show it.

It’s been in my neighborhood all my life I remember going in when I was a kid and smelling the engines of the fire trucks and seeing the fireman boots lined up. GOD BLESS them all.

To the brave firemen who answered the call on August 22, 2021 at 1027 Ave Saint John at about 3 a.m. Thank you for your quick response. Your quick actions saved many lives. When we were allowed to return to the building, I spit out mucous with soot. When I walked out of my apartment with my friend, the hallway was full of acrid smoke. It crossed my mind that if the smoke gets any heavier, we can be overcome by it and die. I am so grateful for the brave men and women of the FDNY. FDNY, The Bravest!! NY Strong!! Sincerely, A person who is happy to be alive.
