Great walking paths, scenic waterfall views, the lock bridge over the river and the old mill ruins are all great spots for a couple hours of down time and relaxation/exploration and some exercise.

The falls are really pretty in fall. There's a trail along the river that leads to a bridge to cross the river. This might be a fun place to go for a bike ride too.

Great little spot for some walking along the paved path or if you're feeling adventurous like we were hiked/climbed down past the end of the rail and went to the the falls up close. Depending on the route you choose, it can be quite sketchy …

Usually the signs out front will give closing times. I don't remember at Vermilion but it's 10 or 10:30.
The ruins are visible from the path along the river. It's close to the parking lot - maybe 500 feet or so from where you'd park.
Less then half a mile from the parking lot. There are other places paths to wonder around the area.
Never tried im sure it would be.

The city part i believe no also their is trout in there and it's only catch and release around that area for. Best check the dnr website
