I fractured my knee on July 1st 2022. When I called OSG on July 2, the recording said they were closed, the recording failed to inform that the Ortho fast, the emergency part of OSG was open from 8:00 in the morning to 8 PM, even if it was a 4th of July weekend. I had to wait till July 5th. After sitting in orthofast 2 hours they brought me in and they informed me i had to come back the next day. It was 3pm when i left, enough time to be seen by a Dr that day. So on July 6th I went in, Before going in to be seen by a Dr, the tech by the name of Deana was telling me how they were going to have to give me another brace that I was going to have to pay for it, because the insurance company only gave you a brace every 5 years. I didn't ask for that information. I saw the PA Cindy Anderson, great attitude, friendly, and knowledgeable, she ordered another brace, The one I had from the hospital was way too big. Another person came in with a brace that the PA recommended, by the name of Katie, She went out and came back in 10 minutes later telling me that my insurance provider did not authorize the brace, that it was going to cost me a $150 dollars. That it was totally up to me, insinuating that I didn't have to make the decision right away, in other words if I didn't pay for the brace I would have to leave it. In other words, she insinuated i had to leave the brace and leave with a fractured patella. That was what i understood. As soon as I arrived home I called my insurance company and told them about the incident, OSG never called the insurance to authorize the brace, they didn't have a code for the brace not being authorized. Long story short, my Ins is reimbursing me charging OSG for the brace. I called a supervisor by the name of Bob Thompson, then called Megan Paletto, the supervisor Bob Thompson informed me my Ins provider were wrong in giving me the information. The supervisor's never apologized for having charged me the brace, for having made a mistake which is normal for everyone to do, she advised me that they could charge medicare again but she wouldn't be able to give me the full amount returned. I said no thank you, I informed her that my insurance company was going to reimburse me money and they, OSG, would have to pay my insurance.I called on 2 occasions to speak to my PA and was informed that they never put calls through to doctors or the PA. My brace was defective so I called on 8/15/2022@10:55 am to go in, The person who handled my call said she would send an email to the PA, By 3pm. Had to wait 4 days before I went in WITH an appointment, my leg was hurting by then. Spoke to Katie on 2 occasions and she was very condescending. When I went in to change my brace they put me in a room that was dirty, the floor was dirty, the table was dirty they had done somebody's cast, I was informed that they didn't have any other rooms. So there was no other place to put me but into a dirty room AND QUESTIONED why the brace was defective and why get another one when my treatment was near the end. Aug 31, is my next appointment. I informed Jennifer the lady that came to put my brace, she kept saying my notes said; I did not care what the notes said by Katie, I wanted the brace exactly how Cindy Anderson had regulated it. I honestly think I will never go back there again, I will seek treatment with another orthopedic surgeon that I can talk to or leave a message and he will call me back. I have never been treated with such a lack of compassion, kindness and respect, by the workers, especially by Katie, and Jennifer who assisted me on Aug 17, 2022. I had a very high regard of this establishment, The way they treat patients, we're not shoppers we are patients, with medical needs. The doctors are probably excellent doctors, but the people that work in the Fairfield office have a lot to be desired. Having said that I don't wish my experience on anyone and I will never go back there again. Sincerely, Evelyn Remy I had a very high. rays appointment for the next day.

Every appointment I come in 15 min before and every time I wait for 45 min on average in the lobby. Then it is another 30 min in patient room. Just plain disrespectful. They never referred me to therapy properly even though they reassured me multiple times. Incompetent. Tried to get follow up due to surgery complication resulting in Hospitalization. Would not see me without insurance authorization. They just don't care.

Will like to start 10 out of 5 for Dr. Ramsey Saba, the best you could get from best doctors. Always helpful, sympathetic, optimistic and positive person.

Dr. Weiland and PA Cindy Anderson and Doc Cathy (not my doc) are awesome! The Fairfield staff rock and I’ve been using OSG since the opened. I would recommend them to anyone. Even though the say the staff alternates - maybe it’s the air in FFld that’s better. I would say that 1 bad apple can spoil the bunch if you leave that rotten apple in the bucket. OSG may want to rethink having that Laura person in the Shelton office on their team. She has a horrible attitude and acts like ppl are bothering her. If you don’t want to work I suggest you QUIT!! You are not helpful!!! Had to deal with her on three separate occasions and no matter how nice you are she is abrupt and just completely NASTY! You need to find your passion and do that because dealing with people is NOT IT. I call you out because their is “NO BAD DAY IN MEDICINE” Take the day off if you’re miserable. Patients call for medical assistance when they are feeling miserable too with pain and severe discomfort. The other thing is it’s hard getting in touch with my doctor. OSG is too efficient and you miss the human side of your profession when you try to funnel your passion through others who are not as enthusiastic about what you do. Not being able to get a call back from your doctor or his/her PA is disappointing when you have to deal with rotten apples who missed their calling.
