Simply unfortunate. My party of nine was turned away this evening after dressing up and driving to MS. I always have a great deal of respect towards restaurant policy. No twenty year olds allowed, okay I guess. Rules are rules. Typically, I wouldn't review an establishment for something of this nature. But the pure disrespect from the “manager” on duty is despicable and should not go unnoticed by any future customers looking to eat out in the Mohegan area. Unfortunately I did not get her name but she was on duty at 7:30 on a Sunday night. Probably between 75-82 years if I guess on looks. First, we’re asked for identification as Bello requires parental supervision for fully grown adults. Makes sense. Let her know we aren’t of age and we’ll be happy to leave. The woman continues to point out this policy is clearly stated on the restaurant website. I took the liberty of checking for myself, she’s correct. If checking restaurants’ “FAQ” pages prior to eating out then no worries you’re in the know. However, normal people like us were blindsided by this poor transmission of a information. Mrs. Manager was on a roll so she didn’t end here. In response to our request for dinner recommendations, she recommended chilies with a smirk on her face. I’m sure chilies is a fine establishment but we both knew we were looking for something… higher on the food chain. Dear Manager Witch (her surname by the looks of it), here’s some advice for you. In the hospitality industry, give your customers with even an ounce of respect and your actions won’t make it to the one star section of your google page. I should add, I’m not entirely sure what my religion or my peers home country has to do with our reservation tonight. And no I’m not paying for my meal with “Pennie’s from the fountain outside”. Sincerely, Your favorite Jewish man EST 2001 Update following obnoxious reply from manager witch: Shalom (you’ll know what that means if you’re as Jewish as you claim), It’s unfortunate that you didn’t take the time to actually read my review. You’d know I have NO issue with your compliance to Connecticut laws and I wish you would abide more strongly to your state’s non discrimination laws. I do however, take issue with your continuous dehumanizing snippiness and obnoxious tone. THAT was the plot of my review. Learn to read, you’re making us look bad. To be honest, I can’t rule out homophobia as a factor contributing to your discriminating manor throughout this entire debacle. My husband and I are simply rattled. But not to worry, we’re back together. Ballo will NO LONGER interfere with my love life or ATTEMPT to convert me back to a “normal” sexual orientation. My people have suffered enough, and I will not stoop to your level. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: CHILIS IS SUPERIOR TO BALLO AT MOHEGAN.

Food was ok. Not something I would rave about. I got the pork chop and it was under seasoned. The only real flavor to it was the cheese and hot peppers. The garlic bread was mediocre. The meatball appetizer was good definitely spot on. The expresso cannoli was exceptional. For being a fine dining establishment un the casino I expected more.
