I took my 11 year old daughter for her second time skiing. Bunny hill was good for beginners, but the next step up is quite a jump. My daughter was able to use 3 of the other chair lifts by the end of the day. Had a lot of fun overall. My only complaint was that we couldn't get to some runs of the mountain without having her go through a steeper "mogul" section. After that part, there were some additional areas we wanted to go, but there was snow fencing up preventing you from crossing over. I felt there should be somewhere to crossover safely, lots of room. Facilities were good, food prices were reasonable and staff was helpful. There are some good scenic views and a little trick park if you're into that. Oh, the rental equipment was of good quality and they let my daughter take a helmet, so that was a plus. I'd recommend this place for intermediate skiers and up.

Caberfae was decent not what I expected from reviews, not as big as some of the other Michigan ski slopes. Lifts are slow and it was busy on this holiday weekend which is to be expected but couldn't believe the main lift was a 2 seater at entrance! Regular pricing is affordable for lift tickets but wouldn't recommend the priced holiday rate for this hill. the hotel resort is in decent shape just smaller!

Great place and we will be back every year as long as I can get up on skis! Special thanks to Pete Meyer and his staff for hosting our group for the 14th year in a row! They have continued to make Caberfae comfortable and welcoming for our group. The skiing was good and the mountain was so well maintained. We are excited about the new lift and runs coming next year! The staff was really great in helping coordinate my group of misfits! Nelli was awesome for my lesson pushing me out of my comfort zone to get better and I really liked the demo program that is available. The lodge really is awesome and the new outdoor patio is a great place for a drink and quick bite! Keep making the updates Pete… the place looks great! See you next year!

The staff at the resort and in the lodge were very friendly and helpful! The mountain was great along with the prices! The rooms in the Mackenzie Lodge we simple and basic, but clean and nice. This place definitely deserves 5 stars but the mattresses were absolutely terrible! Overall definitely would recommend and will definitely be back again!

Ik the MI resorts wint allow ski bikes (actually, a group of us tried to convince patrol to let some guy just go straight up & back down 1 small run, that no one was on but they wouldn't budge.) I really wanted to see it!! I would assume they all allow bi decks tho. I cant think of a reason for them not to. Altho, u won't find them in any ski shops. I've only seen them at Modern Skate and Surf. I was so confused, yet curious about them! I'd love for you to explain them more to me!
I dont think so, which is pretty odd since they offer golf. So, I hope they pay attention to a question like yours. I do know that Boyne keeps a lift running & have a great restaurant on top of the mountain but oddly I only hit these places in the winter. Petoskey has the most amazing fall events tho. You can download dull magazines on everything offered in northern MI & it's free. Def recommend it! Hopefully I helped a little 😊🍁
Yes, yes they do, and it seems to be pretty new, too.
No they dont, however I think it would be a great idea if they did. Merry Christmas!
Caberfae doesn't have cross country ski trails on site but is nearby the Mackenzie Trail. Caberfae does have cross country skis and snowshoes available for rent.
Dress in layers with moisture wicking base layers. Mittens vs gloves. Helmet & goggles. Take a lesson! Rent equipment at least 24hr before arrival to have preset to save time in line. Have fun!
Unsure
The goal is for to open next weekend, which looks likely! ⛷️
Do you mean ski? There isn't enough snow right now to ski. You can check back to this page later this month to see if they've opened: https://caberfaepeaks.com/the-mountain/snow-report/.
4 lifts, 34 runs. https://caberfaepeaks.com/the-mountain/trail-map/
They are open Dec 26th to Dec 31st9 am to 9 pm for the holiday weekend. They would never get so much snow they would close. More snow the better!
Good question, I not see any last year. But this year they may. They are a pretty forward thinking place.
Check Crystal Mountain if that is important to u. They allow it. Boyne does too.
Plenty of snow, hard and fast in the morning, crud later in the day.
They do. There should be a small bowl on the right side of the counter with slips of paper with the wifi password on them. Anyone can grab them.
In Michigan as long as the grass doesn't show it is good snow
On their website you will find all the information on lift ticket and rental prices. They do have a deals section where they have group, family, college, and senior deals.
Good weather and doing the speed limit its about 1 hour and 45 minutes
Not generally a party per se. They may have live music in the bar though.
