I have been going there for a while and two problems I have...One they never answer the phone. So when I come from Smithfield on two buses in 100° weather just to find out their systems are down...they can have someone stand outside the door telling ppl the same thing a sign in the door says but can't have anyone answer the phone I am DEF irritated w that. And two being that TWICE I have been told that I need to let them stick me twice in order to be compansated when the first puncture fouls up in any way! I've heard that is NOT true and u have to be paid as soon as they stick you ONCE. I have VERY small veins and it HURTS so for me to do that twice and walk around w TWO bruises up arms I am not happy about that. I consider that to be completely heartless and not to mention unprofessional to be lied to.

No, but it appears that way because the Grifols employees usually keep their chatting with donors to a minimum. The truth is Grifols employees are NOT phlebotomist. They're hired with a high school diploma and then trained by the company on how to stick people with a needle and they work under the doctor's license. Many employees try to keep it very professional to make themselves seem very professional and strict. However, CSL hires actual phlebotomist.
Plasma is donated twice a week on nonconsecutive days. I have donated for ten years with no long term effects. Donating leads to a solution for helping others. It actually strengthen your immune system.
Make sure your hydrated, east something before to make sure your protein level is good. Also bring a sweatshirt or something because it can get cold while donating.
First time donors $150, until ur 4 time donating plasma after that is $50 but if u donate twice a week it will be $50 1st time and 2nd time $100 in the same week period.
