9/21/22 Updated my ** review to **** as the dealer responded by sending out a senior person to diagnose and address the ongoing door issue. Took about a month to get the part to repair the door. Hopeful it stays fixed this time; it hasn't with past attempts but the person they sent seemed to be a "master installer." The reason given for the lack of response was that the scheduler was on vacation and all of my contact attempts were lost. Fair enough - everybody is stressed on the staffing side. Original Review: Something has changed for the worse at the Columbus R-B-A dealer. As part of a large wood window replacement job (which went reasonably well), we had them install a rather expensive 400 series Frenchwood Patio Door. It’s been problematic since day one. They’ve tried many fixes over the past six years, starting with replacement hinges that have to be frequently adjusted by Andersen. But over time the door moves in its frame, banging into the door stop. I’ve never seen such a high-maintenance door. Recently, the one-piece weatherstripping started shredding with normal use. The dealer sent someone to fix it. First the tech had to borrow my tools to try and jam the weatherstripping into place and when that didn’t work he superglued it in place. Superglue! It lasted less than a few hours. It took months to get replacement weatherstripping. The tech they sent had no idea how to install it and the door was virtually impossible to close. He assured me that would improve over time. It did not and now it’s shredded again. Only now the dealer is ghosting me. I’ve tried getting help from the parent company but the dealer is ignoring them too. This used to be a reasonably responsive dealer but clearly not anymore. You may “love your new windows” but if your experience is anything like mine you’ll hate your doors.

Poor customer service and failure to complete a job that cost $28k! Renewal by Anderson windows were installed in our Richwood home and we still have no resolution to our window and patio door being repaired. Contacted customer service in July for a resolution and was told we feel through the cracks with an employee who is know longer employed, was advised we would receive a call back week end and nothing! For this kind of money, poor service at installation and poor support after an incomplete install, there will be know recommendations to a company that offers this service. Fix it!!!
