Every day my grandfather comes home from visiting my grandmother that is currently being “cared” for, he has nothing but nasty things to say about how she speak to collected and in properly cared for. Her first night there she screamed for half an hour for someone to come and help her sit back up because she had slid down. Today it seems she didn’t even get her lunch. This place will be lucky if I don’t sue them for neglect. I’m tired of hearing how improperly she’s being taken care of there. I’m furious with this place.

Staffs rude never answer the phones if they do . can never get ahold of the person your trying to get ahold of always the run around

Horrible place my mother was there for rehab and was treated soo badly there was a couple good staff members but this place was a nightmare... something happened to my mother there that she never would talk about ... very crooked place

Staff never answer the phone, and they are rude. My sister was here recovering from Sepsis during COVID so we could not visit, and the staff was terrible. They kept saying she didn't want to get better. Sepsis patients notoriously suffer from depression and anxiety, and the staff at Monterey were giving up and not encouraging. When she finally started trying, they were basically ignoring her. She started doing better, but not long after she wasn't feeling well again, and no one was doing anything. They kept saying she was fine. She wasn't fine. Her infection was back. Don't go here to recover and rehab.
