Wonderful place to see a bunch of very amazing creatures. During my visit they had both Elk as well as Moose. Phenomenal place especially for the kids!

A fun, quick stop while in Gaylord! There were many elk visible, including cows and bulls. The elk are enclosed with a high chain link and wire fence, but you can still get good photos through the holes.

We love stopping by Gaylord's City Elk Park to see the elk, and do it EVERY time we're in the area. They're are a lot of them, and yes, they are beautiful! The have a huge fenced in area to roam in so may not always be visible, but it's …

Fallow deer. And they have those interesting antlers.
Yes it does. But it's on the back side. You have to walk around the pin or drive behind the post office and enter at the Aspen Park where the tennis court is there are several different Trails paved and rustic they are beautiful I was just there this weekend.
It's more like a city park and there is no fee. You can get to it from Otsego Ave and Grandview Blvd. You can also go to 7th Avenue and Otsego Avenue. It will take you into the city DPW.
I think they are reindeer! I may be mistaken..
I would like to think catch and release to a zoo. I believe they are also fixed
I've never seen it done. But they seem to have hay / feed all the time
No. It's not a park you walk through. As mentioned, it's just a viewing area.
There is no cost for parking or entry. It's a fenced-in enclosure that is for viewing purposes and safety. Its open to the public year-round. There are several different areas where the hell can be viewed. Take a walk around the perimeter there's also different points where you can park and view them from your vehicle. Also behind the post office and Jays is a walking trail behind the tennis courts that leads to the school and the backside of the elk viewing area always beautiful no matter what time of the year. have fun take some pictures and post them so we can see all the fun you guys have!
